About

Luminous Antonio began painting as a teenager and studied psychology, philosophy, and comparative religions at the New School for Social Research and Pratt in New York. She built a successful career as an art dealer specializing in 18th–20th Century European and American paintings before moving West to earn degrees in Painting and Performance Video from the San Francisco Art Institute.

Luminous had the privilege of studying under renowned artists including San Tchakalian, Carlos Villa, Franklin Williams, Wally Hedrick, Paul Kos, and Robert Colescott.

With over 500 works, her art explores inner worlds, hidden histories, sacred places, and unseen dimensions. Her current pieces imagine Earth as viewed through alternate dimensions or the unique perspective of each viewer.
